SACRED CINEMA is coming again to Lakeview United Church on Monday evenings at 7:00 P.M. beginning on February 27. These are interesting "movies with a message" that we watch together and have a brief discussion afterwards. Once again we have an excellent lineup of films. They are free to everyone who comes - and there is popcorn and drinks (pop, juice or water) as well! Check the Event_Calendar page to see this year's lineup.
Friday March 2,7:30 PM LUC is hosting World Day of Prayer. Check the Event_Calendar page for details. Nine other churches in the area will be participating in the service with us. We will be joining with 170 countries around the world, all using the service prepared by the women of Malaysia. What an opportunity! Imagine what a difference millions of Christians in solidarity with one another can make. Plan to be here!

A bit about us: All are welcome! We are wheel-chair accessible. We are a theologically diverse community of Christians who come together at Lakeview United to worship, to grow as a faith community, to serve our neighbourhood and provide a place of support to and for each other. We find balance around the centre of the theological spectrum of the United Church of Canada. We currently have 205 member and adherent families affiliated with the Church.
Our congregation enjoys a wide age spectrum and is enthusiastic and dynamic. We believe in fun and fellowship and enjoy working together. We have a good financial base and a well-maintained and functional building. The congregation is open to a variety of worship styles, music and liturgy. Our music program is a major part of our Worship and offers something for all tastes. Our youth are active and involved and enjoy taking part in our inter-generational programs. While we enjoy each other's company, we are open to meeting and welcoming others. The congregation has a sense of humor, an abundance of talent and a dedicated core of volunteers.
